The PS5 Pro version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gained upgraded PSSR support on November 5. Ubisoft’s Priscilla Nguyen says the console’s image upscaling technology lets Quality mode run at 60 frames per second with enhanced 4K image quality.

Nguyen said the team integrated the technology into the existing engine and rendering pipeline without extensively reworking the game’s content or visual assets. She described balancing image quality and performance in a game built years before PS5 Pro.

The improvement is part of The Most Requested Update, a free update for PS5 and PS5 Pro. It also adds the previously announced New Game+ mode, allowing another run through the story. The update includes two new achievements, an Enhanced Progression Mode option, a new Power calculation and the Master Assassin Naoe outfit.
