Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players can restart Eivor’s story in a New Game+ mode arriving November 5. It carries over much of your progression and uses dedicated scaling for the new run, letting you return to England with your favorite gear or try a different build.

The announcement comes after the game surpassed 40 million players, according to Ubisoft. The company has not yet specified exactly which items and achievements carry over; full details will follow in the upcoming patch notes.

Returning to England with gear you have already earned makes a second run a chance to try a different build.

Gear, runes and a new resource

The update also adds an optional progression mode in which gear, runes and masteries contribute to Eivor’s overall power. A new resource called Mithril will upgrade Divine gear and strengthen runes, while Divine quality will be available for all items.

The additions include a stash system, new runes and achievements, and rewards including a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft also plans to share details about current-generation console updates in the coming days.

More Hexe news is due in 2027

In the same announcement, Ubisoft said no other Assassin’s Creed remake is currently in active development. The company added that the next major update on the game in development under the name Codename Hexe will arrive in 2027; it has not announced a release date for the game.
