Red Dead Redemption Is 50% Off on Steam

Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption is 50% off on Steam. The US price drops from $49.99 to $24.99 at the time of writing. The store lists November 6 as the end of the promotion.

What you get

This is the original Red Dead Redemption, the predecessor to Red Dead Redemption 2. The PC version launched on 29 October 2024 and includes the full campaign plus Undead Nightmare, the zombie story that originally shipped as an add-on. There is no multiplayer.

The story follows John Marston, a former outlaw sent to hunt down the members of his old gang. The PC version supports native 4K at up to 144Hz, ultrawide monitors and HDR, and it has full controller support.

Half price is an improvement, but even on sale this is still a substantial amount for an older game.
