WORLD OF HORROR gets free update with new characters and stories
Version 1.2 is available on PC with a scenario mode and expanded mod tools. The console update is planned for 2027.
WORLD OF HORROR’s AS BELOW SO ABOVE update arrived on October 30 as a free download for owners. Version 1.2 is available on Windows and macOS through Steam, GOG and itch.io; the console versions are due to receive it in 2027.
The update adds three playable characters and two new manifestations of the Old Gods. One gradually changes the town’s weather, while the other sees four cults summon their masters at once. Publisher Ysbryd Games calls it the game’s largest update, adding around 20% more content.
A new Scenario Mode offers self-contained stories set before the main game. In the first, a student named Makoto sets out to film a documentary about a local forest legend. Modders on Steam Workshop can now create enemies, events and mysteries, with more customization options.
