Rumor: Transformers: Reactivate footage offers another look at the canceled game
IGN reports that an archive account shared a trailer attributed to Splash Damage's canceled project. There is no announcement that development is resuming.

Fans who were waiting for Transformers: Reactivate may have another glimpse of the game they never got to play. IGN reports that archive account Nem - TFR Archives shared a trailer attributed to Splash Damage’s canceled project, featuring material the outlet describes as previously unseen.
What IGN describes
The report describes Optimus Prime and Bumblebee fighting the Legion, with Autobots and Decepticons working together. The footage comes through an archive account, rather than a new official release from the developer.
Claims that it represents a final build, a completed campaign or an attempt to attract investment have not been confirmed by the studio. It cannot establish how close the game was to release: a trailer can show selected sequences without revealing the condition of the wider project.
It is sad to think how much work can end up surviving only in a trailer.
The original plan, and its cancellation
Splash Damage’s December 2022 announcement described an online action game for one to four players, coming to PC and consoles in collaboration with Hasbro. Players would switch between robot and vehicle forms while battling an enemy called the Legion.
The developer ended development in January 2025. Gematsu and PC Gamer quoted its statement that it was scaling down and focusing on other projects. The reported trailer may offer another look at what the team was building, but it is not an announcement that Reactivate is returning or becoming playable.
