Street Fighter V is off sale on Steam as security work keeps online features offline
Capcom is applying PHP-related security fixes. Sales on Steam and PlayStation Store are being suspended in stages, with no return date; offline content remains playable.

Street Fighter V is no longer available to buy on Steam, and its online features are unavailable while Capcom performs PHP-related security work. Existing owners can still use content that does not require an internet connection. No date has been given for service to resume.
What changed today
The outage did not begin today: Capcom published an emergency maintenance notice on Steam on October 23, confirming that online content was unavailable while offline play remained possible.
On October 27, the company also posted a notice on Capcom Town Store: sales on its own store will be suspended temporarily until the fixes are complete. The company says it is applying security updates related to the PHP programming language used in the game.
The Steam store page now explicitly says the game is no longer available on the store.
What about PlayStation?
According to VGC and GAME Watch, quoting the official Street Fighter announcement of October 27, the work concerns the PS4 and Steam versions. The notice says sales on PlayStation Store and Steam will be suspended gradually until the fix is complete.
We could not open the X announcement directly, so the details about PS4 and the staged suspension across both stores come from those two reports. We verified the Steam version’s maintenance and removal from sale through official sources.
You can practice against the computer for now, but it is no substitute for an opponent on the other side of the connection.
What can you still play?
Owners can continue playing offline content. Features requiring an internet connection remain unavailable during maintenance. The notices describe a temporary suspension for repairs but give no date for the work to finish or for sales to resume.
They also do not announce that player information has been stolen. The security work alone is not evidence that Street Fighter V player accounts have been breached.
