Catch flying fish on a virtual beach or explore a cartoon hospital: those are two ideas developers built with medical staff at Sheba’s game jam. The event showcase lists 35 playable games alongside explanations from their teams.

More than 100 game developers came to Sheba in October and worked with doctors and nurses for 30 hours on challenges prepared by medical staff. The event was held with GameIS, an Israeli game developer association.

In Phantom Fish, players catch fish on a virtual beach as the game mirrors the movement of one hand. The team explored turning practice based on mirror feedback into a game. Skin Heros, created by Elad Reuven and Rotem Abramov, lets children explore a cartoon hospital and activities related to burn care.

The organizers describe the games as experimental prototypes and say their clinical outcomes have not been independently validated.
