Pokémon UNITE Is Shutting Down: Servers Close March 23, 2027
The Pokémon Company and TiMi are ending service for Pokémon UNITE on Switch and mobile. Aeos Gem sales have stopped, and a final update arrives November 12.
Pokémon UNITE is coming to an end. The Pokémon Company and TiMi, the studio that develops the game, have announced that service will end on Tuesday, March 23, 2027, at 00:00 UTC. The shutdown covers both the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions.
After that moment, players will no longer be able to log in or play matches.
What has already changed
As of Tuesday, October 27, at 05:00 UTC, Aeos Gem sales have stopped. New UNITE Club sign-ups have also ended, and automatic renewal of existing memberships has been suspended. Current members keep their benefits until their current membership period runs out.
Aeos Gems you already own can be spent until service ends. The official announcement says nothing about refunds.
The final update and the Library
A final update lands on Thursday, November 12. It adds a last event, where players can pick up items that have appeared in the game over the years, including Unite licenses and Holowear, plus a new Library feature.
The Library lets you view certain records and in-game content after service ends, but there is a catch: you have to finish downloading your Library data before March 23, 2027, at 00:00 UTC. Anyone who misses the deadline loses access to it. Library data generally cannot be transferred to a different device.
Other dates
Qualifiers for the Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo tournament begin on December 5, so the competitive scene stays active to the end. After the game closes, the content guidelines for using Pokémon UNITE footage and images on online platforms will no longer be published or maintained.
It’s a shame automatic renewal has stopped, but at least the final update looks like a dignified farewell.
What to do now
If you still have Aeos Gems, it is worth using them before service ends. And if you want to keep the Library, download your data early rather than at the last minute.
