The community toolkit adds custom levels and mod management, and requires an installed copy of the game.

OpenCAGE 1.0 is available now, giving Alien: Isolation modders the ability to build complete levels from scratch. The independent toolkit also adds sound and animation import and export alongside its existing content-editing tools.

The new mod manager can install packages made by others and package creations for distribution. Live Link lets creators see changes, such as moving objects or adjusting lights, in the running game.

The toolkit is free, but using it requires a purchased and installed copy of Alien: Isolation. Developer Matt Filer describes it as a community hobby project unaffiliated with Creative Assembly, SEGA or Feral Interactive.
