New Blood Interactive CEO Dave Oshry says he does not intend to sell the company. In an interview with PC Gamer, he said he would rather close it than seek investor or publisher money if its way of working stopped succeeding.

The publisher’s catalogue includes DUSK, Gloomwood, Amid Evil, Fallen Aces and ULTRAKILL. The interview describes relatively small, remote teams and a reluctance to rely on repeated sequels to the same franchises.

Oshry also imagined saying goodbye to the company and retiring in 20 years. That was a hypothetical picture of his preferred future, not an announcement that New Blood is closing or a fixed end date. He said he wants the company to end on its own terms.
