Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 adds new maps and a Battle Pass catch-up system
Season 1 launches November 6 with Multiplayer maps and modes, a new DMZ facility and two Warzone maps.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 starts November 6, adding Multiplayer maps and modes, a DMZ weapons facility and two Warzone maps. The free content update also brings a paid Battle Pass with a catch-up system for players who fall behind.
Three maps and two modes at launch
Multiplayer gets Backstab and Canyon at launch, alongside a reimagined, snowy Shoot House set in North Korea. In Grind, players collect eliminated opponents’ dog tags and take them to a bank to score for their team. Drop Zone has teams fight over a rotating objective, with Killstreak packages periodically dropped into the zone.
Later in the season, Ministry and Overflow join the map rotation along with Counter Attack, a mode about detonating bombs at the enemy communications station while defending your own.
A new DMZ facility and two Warzone maps
DMZ gets X01, a weapons facility filled with tunnels and shifting hazards. Extraction points close during the mission, and players will need to complete the required steps to escape. New DMZ Orders will also be available inside the facility.
Warzone gets the Hajin and Zodiac maps. Activision says more details about the season’s modes and features will follow.
Battle Pass catch-up rewards players who fall behind
The season’s Battle Pass has more than 100 unlockable items and a linear 100-tier track. Players who buy the premium pass and fall behind automatically catch up to the reward corresponding to the current day of the season, up to day 50. Activision says purchasers are guaranteed more than 50 rewards.
The season’s weapons include the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and CSG-35 submachine gun, both in the Battle Pass.
