Mob Entertainment is downsizing the Escape From Playtime team. In a statement to Insider Gaming, the company said the decision results in 16 departures, a minority of whom were permanent employees. It did not give a reason for the cuts in its statement.

Mob says the remaining employees are developing the game and its roadmap features. It also says it will support the game through Early Access and that its plan for a full 1.0 release has not changed.

The game entered Early Access on Steam in October. Set in the Poppy Playtime universe, the co-op horror game lets up to four players take the roles of toys collecting resources in a factory while evading its creatures.

The company said its immediate priority is supporting the people affected by the decision and helping them through the transition.
