The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster will launch in the West on May 13, 2027, publisher NIS America says. The single-player adventure RPG is developed by Nippon Ichi Software.

Its protagonist Mono sets out to find her sister, who has contracted Paper Mortis, a disease that turns people into picture books and eventually monsters. Mono makes a pact with a monster named Mär to search the quarantine facility known as the Libratarium. According to the Steam page, players explore stories, solve puzzles and fight bosses with his help.

Physical editions are listed for Switch and PS5. Digital versions are planned for Switch, PS5 and PC via Steam, alongside a Switch 2 Upgrade Pack. The publisher lists Japanese voice acting; console text is in English, while the PC version also supports Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese text.
