Fortnite players can reportedly find a rare token in treasure chests that opens the Pirate Shop, letting them claim eligible shop items for free for 14 days. Destructoid, Push Square and Shacknews describe the reward; finding a chest does not guarantee a token.

The reports say the token can appear in special chests on the season’s Battle Royale map. If one squad member finds it, the rest of the squad gains access too. Shacknews says players can finish their match before activating the token, then select Plunder the Shop in the Item Shop from the lobby.

The 14-day period begins when a token is activated and covers eligible items priced in V-Bucks. Destructoid says bundles and items sold for real money are excluded; Push Square adds that players cannot gift items or buy Battle Pass levels this way.

The reward comes with the Treasure Hunters season and its One Piece crossover. Epic Games’ season announcement does not spell out the Pirate Shop terms.
