The Division 2’s paid Echoes of Central Park expansion launched on November 3 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It requires the base game, and Ubisoft says it is also playable through a Ubisoft+ subscription.

Set in New York’s Upper West Side and Central Park, the story is told as a narrator’s flashback. It can be played solo or in co-op, and characters below level 40 receive a boost so they can start the expansion.

Ubisoft says players can earn the trust of three characters who help in combat, though only one companion can join the party at a time. Each has a different fighting style, and players can switch companions when replaying missions.

The company also describes repeat encounters in the park whose outcomes affect what follows: success brings rewards, while a poor performance creates a disadvantage. Players can earn six new skill variants and additional gear. Prototype Gear is normalized in the expansion at launch; the developers plan to enable its full strength there later.
