Horror adventure Dead of the Brain arrived on Steam on October 30 for Windows, macOS and Linux. Originally released for PC-98 in 1992, FairyTale’s game combines point-and-click adventure, visual novel storytelling and quick-time events.

The story follows Cole after his scientist friend develops a serum to bring the dead back to life. The experiment goes wrong and zombies overrun the town. The new release retains the pixel art and offers optional conveniences including hover hints and highlighted click areas. After death, players can restart at the beginning of the current scene instead of their last save. The game contains graphic violence and is intended for mature audiences.
