Chucky leaves Dead by Daylight's store on November 24; existing owners keep their content

Behaviour says it tried to retain the license. Existing owners can keep using The Good Guy, his perks and cosmetics, but no return date has been announced.

Dead by Daylight players who already own Chucky will still be able to use him after his store departure. In a statement supplied to IGN, Behaviour Interactive said its efforts to retain the license had not succeeded.

What happens to your purchases

The Chucky Chapter becomes unavailable to purchase on November 24, 2026. Behaviour says existing owners will retain access to The Good Guy, his perks and any associated cosmetics they already own.

The change affects purchasing the content, rather than existing players’ ability to use it. You can therefore still encounter Chucky in matches after the sales cutoff, through players who already have him.

At least players who bought Chucky do not have to say goodbye to him.

A return remains possible

In its new response to IGN, Behaviour said it wants to keep licenses for the long term and remains open to departed horror characters returning. That expresses the studio’s willingness; it is not an announcement of a new agreement or a date for Chucky’s return.
