Arc System Works will add the RISE OF THE ORACLE story chapter to DAMON and BABY on February 18, 2027. Existing base-game owners can download it at no extra cost. A physical edition for PS5 and Switch is due the same day.

A digital Switch 2 edition is also planned, with an upgrade pack for owners of the digital Switch version. The official pages list different terms: the English page calls the pack free, while the Japanese page lists 110 yen. The free story chapter and the console upgrade are separate; the English page gives no separate date for the Switch 2 edition.

The game combines exploration with shooting that lets players move and aim independently. Between exploration areas, players return to a base to strengthen Damon and buy equipment. In local offline co-op, a second player controls the dog, helping in combat and collecting items.
