Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown expansion launched on October 29, letting players explore Pywel’s ocean for the first time. You can build a ship, sail and dive for ruins and treasure chests, alongside new story journeys for three characters.

According to Pearl Abyss on Xbox Wire, the expansion is available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, with Xbox Play Anywhere support. Xbox players can also try the base game free for five hours in a trial that began October 29.

Three journeys and an ocean to explore

The expansion adds separate storylines for Kliff, Oongka and Damiane. Each sets out on their own path and meets both familiar and new allies and threats. New creatures and mounts also await underwater.

Homes, strongholds and a boss rush

All three characters can build trust with inhabitants and develop relationships that can lead to romance and marriage. An expanded building system lets you construct and design a house, while certain castles can be decorated after they are liberated.

In liberated strongholds, you can lease and run certain facilities, such as a restaurant or smithy, assigning equipment and comrades and choosing what goods to sell. For combat, the Garden of Trials challenges you to face bosses from your journey one after another.
