First-person stealth game The Citadel Project enters Early Access on PC on November 11, 2026. Developer and publisher Reliquary Software has already made a demo available on the Steam page.

Set in a dark fantasy citadel, the game combines stealth with survival-horror elements. Players control a prisoner who escapes a cell and must find a way through the structure. The developer says the character is at a disadvantage in direct combat, so survival depends on shadows and tools.

One of those tools is a crossbow with different bolts, which can extinguish torches or help reach higher places with a rope. The developer says two areas will be available in the Early Access version and plans to add more later. It estimates that the game will remain in Early Access for one to two years.
