Raw Power Games says the funding it needs is no longer in place and that it cannot continue developing Chronicles: Medieval without it. In a Steam statement, the team warned that the studio is at real risk of closing.

The studio said the loss of funding was due to circumstances outside its control. It is in talks with people who might help it find a way forward, but cannot promise those efforts will succeed. The studio has not announced a closure or cancellation of the game.

The developers said early access is within reach. The game’s store page lists a 2027 early access release, but the funding crisis leaves that plan uncertain.
