Rumor: Korean ratings hint at a return for Capcom console classics

Ratings for older games including Breath of Fire and Mega Man could point to a new collection, but Capcom has not announced one.

Classic Capcom games including Breath of Fire, Mega Man Soccer and Final Fight 3 have received South Korean age ratings. According to Gematsu, the list could point to a new collection of the company’s older console releases.

Beyond the arcade classics

Mega Man X and Demon’s Crest also appear on the list. Some of the rated games have already featured in Capcom Arcade Stadium collections, but they are joined by titles made for home consoles, including Breath of Fire and Mega Man Soccer.

That combination led Gematsu to suggest a collection focused on Capcom’s console games, rather than another arcade compilation.

If a collection does arrive, it’ll be interesting to see which versions make the cut.

No Capcom announcement yet

Capcom has not announced such a collection, with no confirmed name, release date, price or platforms. It is also unclear whether the rated games would be released together or separately.
