Two very different survival games are heading to PS5 in early 2027: Aloft will make its console debut, while Conan Exiles is getting an enhanced edition. Existing Conan Exiles owners on PlayStation will receive the upgrade free.

A home among the clouds

In Astrolabe’s Aloft, you turn floating islands into skyships, build a home and explore a colorful world alone or with friends. Along the way, you can care for animals, brave storms and heal the environment from fungal corruption.

According to Funcom’s PlayStation Blog announcement, the PS5 version will include the updates released during PC Early Access and the 1.0 experience, with new content and stories. Five major updates have already arrived during Early Access, adding wildlife, puzzles and improvements to combat and exploration.

It’s nice to see longtime players get the upgrade without having to pay again.

What’s changing in Conan Exiles

The enhanced version of the survival game set in Conan’s world brings improved environments, characters, lighting and effects, alongside a redesigned interface and performance and quality-of-life improvements. The Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc will be included in the console release from day one.

Anyone who already owns Conan Exiles on PlayStation will get the enhanced PS5 version free. The PS4 and PS5 versions will both remain available to buy, and buying either will include the other. Purchased Bazaar items and DLC carry over from PS4 to PS5; the Isle of Siptah expansion remains a separate purchase.

Funcom also says the enhanced edition will arrive on Xbox Series X|S in early 2027 as a free upgrade for existing Xbox owners. Full cross-play is planned shortly after launch. Existing bases on the Isle of Siptah cannot be preserved in the upgrade because the island’s coordinates have changed. Exact release dates and further details will be shared later.
