Alien: Isolation 2 will have a physical edition and photo mode, along with an option to feed sounds from your microphone into the game. The details came from a Creative Assembly developer Q&A covered by IGN and Eurogamer.

Sounds in your room could attract enemies

According to IGN and Alien vs. Predator Galaxy, the microphone option can be switched on or off. When enabled, sounds from your room, such as a scream or a barking dog, can enter the game and potentially attract the Xenomorph or other threats. It is an option for players who want noise beyond the screen to affect their survival.

Photo mode and a physical edition

Photo mode is in development and will include options such as depth of field, lighting and filters inspired by the films, according to IGN. The developers confirmed a physical edition.

The single-player horror game is planned for PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2, according to the official developer video. A release date has not been announced.
